Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)


After arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our representatives will welcome you and transfer to your hotel. As you reach the hotel, there will be a hotel check-in and you can take some rest. You can enjoy welcome drinks with our group and you will be introduced with the trekking guide. In the evening, you can stroll around the Thamel to be familiar with the place. You can enjoy welcome dinner and stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

Note: Welcome dinner is optional, if you prefer, we will be organizing it.

Day 2: Drive to Chamje


 

After having morning breakfast, we will drive through the Trisuli river by following beautiful terraced farms, rural folks’ settlements. As you continue trek ahead to Beshisahar by following the Khudi, the rout of Annapurna circuit trek, by following beautiful suspension bridge, waterfalls, and many more. You will also continue trek through the up and down trail by following the expanse of terraced farm and subtropical forest. Trek descends to Chamje through the river and then continues through a lush forest. Have dinner and stay overnight at the guest house in the Chamje.

Day 3: Chamje trek to Dharapani (1960m/6430ft)


Have an early morning breakfast and explore the Chamje with the glorious backdrop of towering Annapurna mountain ranges. As continue trek towards Dharapani, situated at the altitude of 1960m. Ascent through the sharp-edged cliff facing the riverbank and cross a suspension bridge over the river. The further climb steeply towards the slippery and physically challenging path to Seattle and again descend to a grassy riverbank that leads to Tal. Trek through the rugged and winding way, where you can cross steeply-forested village of Karte with the stunning views of the waterfalls and cliffs, and further trek leads to Dharapani. Have dinner and overnight stay in the guest house of Dharapani.

Day 4: Dharapani to Chame (2,710m/8,891ft): 5 - 6 hours


Have an early morning breakfast and continue trek ahead to Chame through following a few forested ridges on our way to Chame. Continue the trek with the astonishing views of the Himalayas including Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV (7,525m/24,688ft). Apart from stunning mountains views, you can also enjoy bathing in the Natural hot springs, which release your aching muscles. Have dinner and overnight stay in the guest house of Chame.

Day 5: Chame to Pisang (3,300m/10824ft): 5 - 6 hours


Have early morning breakfast and continue trek through a steep and narrow path by following dense forests. As you begin the trek, you can witness a curved rock face, rising 1500m from the river. You will trek along the Marshyangdi Valley with the majestic Himalayas vistas. You can also get chances to explore the Paungda Danda, a massive sloping rock face that rises over 5,000ft (1500m). As you reach Lower Pisang, you can stroll around the village. Have dinner and stay in the guest house of Pisang.

Day 6: Pisang to Manang: 6 - 7 hours


Have a morning breakfast and continue trek towards Manang through the Upper Pisang route via Geru. You can also enjoy the excellent views of the beautiful landscape and the mighty mountains including Annapurna and Pisang. Continue trek through the beautiful landscape and vegetation and reach to the Barge monastery, the largest monastery in the entire district of Manang. Have dinner and overnight stay in the guest house of the Manang.

Day 7: Manang: Acclimatization day


After early morning breakfast and make the short hike to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake.

Trek to Vraga Village for Himalayan Rescue Association to get information about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Have dinner and overnight stay in the guest house of the Manang.

Day 8: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m/13,484ft): 3 - 4 hours


Have an early morning breakfast and continue to trek through the Manang village by crossing a stream. As you climb towards Tenki village and climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley. You will also follow the valley of Jarsang Khola and few pastures and scrub of juniper trees. The further trail passes small village of Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trailhead. Trek through meadows where you can witness horses and yaks graze and you will also cross a small river on a wooden bridge, and explore an ancient old Mani wall in a pleasant meadow. Finally, you will arrive at Yak Kharka, a small village. Have dinner and overnight stay in the guest house of Yak Karka.

Day 9: Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,600m/15,092ft): 3 - 4 hours


Have early morning breakfast and continue trek uphill to Thorang Phedi and after walking few more times cross a suspension bridge. You can also pass Ledar village and ascend furthermore and pass through towering cliffs. You can also explore Thorang Phedi, the last village with the best views of Mt. Gundang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak and Mt. Khatungkan. Have dinner and overnight stay in the guest house of the Thorong Phedi.

Day 10: Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800m/12,467ft) via Thorong La pass (5416m/17764ft): 7 - 8 hours


Have early morning breakfast and continue trek ahead to the Muktinath, which is situated at the elevation of the 3800meters. You will cross Thorong La pass, one of the highest passes in the world by following the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath). Take a few photos of the Thorong La pass, the natural beauty before heading to Muktinath Valley. As you reach Muktinath Temple, you can explore the Muktinath temple and its surrounding. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Muktinath.

Day 11: Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m/8910ft)


Have morning breakfast and continue trek back to Jomsom after exploring Muktinath, an important pilgrimage sites for both Hindus and Buddhists. You will visit a Vishnu Temple and a Gompa and descend from Ranipauwa village down to the steep and barren hillside and reach to the Kagbeni. The further trek will lead us to the Jomsom. As you reach to Jomsom, hotel check-in and a few minutes take a rest. In the evening, you can stroll around the Jomsom and explore the place. Have dinner and stay overnight in the hotel at Jomsom.

Day 12: Flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (827m/2,789ft)


 

In this day, have a morning breakfast and take a domestic flight for the paradise city Pokhara with the amazing views of the Himalayas. As you reach Pokhara, hotel check-in and take some rest. You can stroll around the Pokhara Bazaar. Enjoy excellent close views of Annapurna Ranges, Machhapurchhe and Dhaulagiri, Himachuli and many other peaks. Stroll around the Fewa Lake and enjoy around 1-hour boating in the same Lake. You can also discover Shanti Stupa, Mahendra Cave, Devils Falls, and Sherpa Musume and have dinner and overnight stay in the hotel at Pokhara.

Day 13: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu: 5-6 hours


 

Have an early morning breakfast and continue to drive the journey back to Kathmandu. As you reach the hotel, you can take a rest and enjoy watching pictures which were captured in the trek. Enjoy the day leisurely or catch up on some last-minute shopping. You can celebrate the successful completion of the trek with the farewell dinner and a typical Nepali cultural program. Stay overnight in the hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 14: Final departure


Have early morning breakfast in the hotel and there will be a check-out process. One of our representatives will transfer you to the airport before 3 hours of flight schedule. Wish you to have a safe flight and hope we will meet very soon in this wonderful country of Nepal.

FAQ

If you wanted to hike the Annapurna Circuit when would be the best time?

You can see panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks at this time of year because the sky is clear.

It is best to trek in the Annapurna Region during autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May). 

Do you need permits to trek around Annapurna Circuit?

For the Annapurna Circuit Trek, it is mandatory to obtain a permit. Nepal Tourism Board provides two kinds of permits, either in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Trekking agencies make arrangements on your behalf if you go through them.

 

Is it necessary to take oxygen while trekking around the Annapurna Circuit trek?

Certainly not. On the trek itinerary, oxygen is not generally required because it is designed so that the trekkers can acclimatize well. The trek in the Annapurna region entails descent to a lower altitude immediately should someone suffer from severe altitude sickness.

Does the Annapurna circuit trek require a lot of effort?

The Annapurna Circuit Trek length requires a significant amount of physical fitness so that you can walk for five to seven hours each day. If a beginner trains at least three months before the trek, they can participate in this trek. Preparing your body for a successful expedition in the Himalayas includes jogging, cycling, swimming, acrobatics, hiking, and swimming. 

The steep climbs during the Annapurna Circuit trek, long distances, limited amenities, and the altitude make this trek hard. As a result of heavy snow accumulation on the trails, the route usually remains closed during the winter season.  

We cannot overlook the risks of altitude sickness when evaluating the difficulty level of trekking routes in Nepal, especially during the Annapurna Circuit trek. Walking for several hours at sea level or slightly higher isn't too difficult for most people, but those hours are incredibly tiring when you begin climbing over 4,000m (13,123ft). A section of this route passes through almost the entirety of the Annapurna massif. 

It has a longer duration and more challenging terrain than the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.

 

 

What is the average trek time for the Annapurna Circuit?

Multiple river crossings are provided via suspension bridges, ranging from moderately complex to difficult.

The Annapurna Circuit trek takes over roughly 15–20 days to complete the Annapurna Base Circuit Trek, departing from Kathmandu and stopping in Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu. 

Annapurna Circuit: What should you bring?

During the Annapurna circuit trek, you will require the following itinerary:

Does the Annapurna Circuit cost a lot?

An average cost of US$1000 to $1400 (excluding international flights) can be expected for a trek of 12-15 days. However we are provinding the Annapurna Circuit trek for $950. These fees cover domestic transportation, trek permits, lodging, and meals. Nevertheless, one must arrange for insurance, visas, and personal gear separately.

 

Annapurna Circuit: Do I need a sleeping bag?

Sleeping bags will be necessary for temperatures below freezing (-6 to -10 degrees Celsius) for winter.

Does trekking around the Annapurna Circuit place one at risk for altitude sickness?

As a result of the high altitude, there is the possibility of getting altitude sickness. A person's response to altitude depends on their fitness and experience, regardless of how they react to altitude. For this reason, you will want to know what altitude sickness is and its symptoms beforehand. Before leaving for the trek, speak to a doctor about high altitude sickness.

 

On the Annapurna Circuit trek, is there Wi-Fi available?

Due to the rocky terrain, Wi-Fi might not be available everywhere or for very long periods. Wi-Fi is generally known for free or at minimal cost in most guesthouses. Avoid relying on the internet during your trip and enjoy it instead.
