Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in TIA Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel (1300 m/4264 ft)


As you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in the Kathmandu, one of our representatives will pick-up you from the airport and transform you to your hotel. As you reach to hotel, there will be check-in and left you to take a few minutes rest and be fresh. We will also provide you welcome drinks and introduce with the trekking guide. In the evening, you can stroll around the Thamel Bazare to be familiar with the place. Our representative will provide you a short brief orientation class about the further trek to Kanchenjunga Trek in Nepal. Have a dinner with our team and stay overnight in the hotel.

Note: Here welcome dinner is optional, you can enjoy welcome dinner as you prefer, lets us know earlier.


Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation


 

Have early morning breakfast and today you will visit Kathmandu four points sightseeing with your guide. You will explore Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening be prepared for the next day trek and put all the essentials things into your bag pack. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the same hotel.


Day 3: Fly Kathmandu to Suketar (Taplejung) 2420 m (50-55 mins) and Trek to LaliKharka 2265 m (2/3 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and departure from the Kathmandu. Take a domestic flight for Suketar, in the Eastern part of Nepal. As you reach to Suketar, we will begin the official trek from here to Lalikharka. Continue simultaneous ascent and descent trek by following the beautiful lush green forests all the way to LaliKharka. As you reach at Lalikharka, you can stroll around the village and encounter with the locals. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of LaliKharka.


Day 4: Trek LaliKharka to Khesewa 2120 m (5 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and departure from Lalikharka and continue descend trek to the village of Pakora along the PhawaKhola. Enjoy crossing a beautiful suspension bridge over Phawakola. Continue trek steep climb up towards Kunjuri and further trek will take us to the ridge to our campsite at Khesewa from where you can enjoy first stunning views of Kanchenjunga. Have dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Khesewa.


Day 5: Trek Khesewa to Mamankhe 1920 m (5 hrs)


 

Have an earlier morning breakfast and departure Khesewa, and continue trek to the Mamankhe, which is situated at the elevation of the 1920m. As you continue trek, you will follow the passes through forests before crossing a small stream. We can enjoy captivating views of the Himalayan peaks and you will also pass several beautiful small villages during our trek. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Mamankhe.


Day 6: Trek Mamankhe to Yamphudin 2085 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek ahead to Yamphudin, which is situated at the elevation of the 2085 meters. Continue trek uphill by following the quite easy trail alongside the Kabeli Khola and admire the beautiful ridge. You can enjoy the stunning view of the beautiful waterfall and cross a small suspension bridge. The further trek will pass small settlements and reach Yamphudin. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Yamphudin.


Day 7: Trek Yamphudin to Chitre 2970 m (5/6 hrs)


 

In this day have an early morning breakfast and continue trek towards Chitre by following several villages and teahouses on the way.You will cross several villages by following a pleasant forest. You can also enjoy stunning views of the north and south face of Kanchenjunga on the way. The further trek will continue a steep descend trek along the river and cross a beautiful bridge across the OmjeKhola to our campsite in Chitre. Have a dinner and stay overnight in Camp (Chitre).


Day 8: Trek chitre to Tortongn 3015 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek with the steep ascent to the crest of the Deurali Danda. As you trek ahead through following the dense forest most of the way. Continue trek down with quite a tough trail with beautiful fallen trees and rock on the edge of a devastating landslide to the west. You will continue trek through the pleasant path, dropping through the forest to the SimbuwaKhola (from the Yarlung Glacier). We also cross a pass at Lassiya Bhanjyang before reaching Tortong. As you reach at Tortong, you can explore the village and have dinner. After having dinner, you will stay overnight in Camp (Tortong).


Day 9: Trek Tortongn to Tseram 3870 m (5/6 hrs)


 

In this day, have early morning Morning breakfast and continue trek towards Tseram, which is situated at the height of 3870m. Continue trek steadily ascend by the side of the Simbuwa Khola and further follow the beautiful Lalung valley and have Tuplung peak. You can enjoy and pass thick pine and rhododendron forest and enjoy the magnificence of the Yalung Glacier. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Tseram.


Day 10: Trek Tseram to Ramche 4580 m (4/5 hrs)


 

As morning begin you will have breakfast and continue trek ahead to Ramche, which is situated at the elevation of the 4580 meters. Continue trek and make short ascend up around 4 to 5 hours to reach Ramche.The further trail is quite tough and you will have to pass the ruins and old Mani Wall of Dachenrol Monastery and enjoy witnessing beautiful Yarlung Glacier and beautiful valleys formed by retreating ice. Further trek to the Yarlung Bara from where we will trek through the west to join the main trail to Ghunsa. The further trek will lead us to Lapsang (4,430m/14,535ft), the site of an oft-frozen lake. We will leave west of the Lapsang La and finally reach to the valley of Ramche. Ramche is a very small village with a beautiful stone building.You can enjoy the witnessing stone building.Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest hours at Ramche.


Day 11: Trek Ramche to Oktang 4730 m (4/5 hrs)


 

In this day early in the morning have a breakfast and continue trek towards Oktang, which is situated at the elevation of the 4730 meters. Continue trek with the spectacular views of the first close encounter with Kanchenjunga and south face of Kanchenjunga. During your trek stunning Janu will accompany with you. The further trek will follow ahead trail through across the Yalung Ri Glacier and continue by a sweeping curve, at Oktang, 4,730 m. The further trek will take you to the southern wall of the mountain. You can enjoy breathtaking mountain views including impressive Jannu and exploring the beautiful glaciers its east face. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Oktang.


Day 12: Trek Oktang to YalungRi Base Camp 5400 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and continue trek towards YalungRi Base Camp, which is situated at the summit of 5400m. It will take around 5/6 hours to reach today's destination. As we continue trek, we will cross high passes and have a breathtaking view of the mountains. As you reach to Yalung Ri Base Camp, you can explore the camp around. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the YalungRi Base Camp.


Day 13: Trek back to Ramche 4580 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Early morning breakfast and continue trek onwards Ramche, which is situated 4580 meters. After exploration of YalungRi Base Camp, you will trek back to Ramche. We have to trek about 5/6 hours to be back. Explore a frozen lake, clear streams with the magnificent views of the mountains. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Ramche.


Day 14: Trek Ramche to Sallerle via Mirgin la 4480 m (6 hrs)


 

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek onwards to Sallerile, which is situated at the 4480 meters. Continue trek down to the valley passing the high and challenging Labsang La, Ghunsa, and the north side of Kanchenjunga. The trekking trail will be rough and dangerous.We will enjoy a southern set of passes, beginning with the Mirgin La. Continue further steep climb which will lead us summits of the Mirgin La.You can enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas including Jannu, Makalu, Gyakung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Chamalang. And many more. You can also enjoy witnessing downtown from the south. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Sallerle.


Day 15: Trek Sallerle to Ghunsa 3475 m (5hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and continue trek ahead the north and continue trek to Tangbgharma Danda. The further trek will reach a chorten, where we can enjoy witnessing prayer flags. We will follow descending trail by following the rhododendron, birch and pine forests and finally reach to Ghunsa. Ghunsa is a beautiful village where you can enjoy witnessing a variety of colorful houses with dark and weathered pine walls and Buddhist prayer flags. Have a dinner and stay overnight in Ghunsa.


Day 16: Terk Ghunsa to Kambachen 4040 m (6 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and continue trek that will lead us to the north of Ghunsa through glorious larch and juniper forests on the east bank of the Ghunsa Khola. You can witness floodplains on the north side of the river. A steep climb to a slope from where it crosses a slide and then descends to Lake. A short climb from here to the village of Kambachen, at the summit of 4,040 m. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of the Kambachen.


Day 17: Exploration Day at Kambachen 4040 m


 

Have an early morning breakfast and today is the rest day at the high altitude, where we can enjoy majestic views of the Himalayas Kanchenjunga.We will hike up to the ridge above the village for better views or we can hike up to Jannu Base Camp. Enjoy stunning mountains views from the height of Jannu also known as Kumbakarna. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the Kambachen.


Day 18: Trek Kambachen to Lhonak 4790 m (6 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and continue trek ahead climbing through rocky fields and this trek will lead us to Ramtang at an elevation of 4200 m. We will cross northwest of the Kanchenjunga Glacier and reach to Lhonak. As we reach to Lhonak, stroll around and explore the surrounding. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the camp at Lhonak.

 


Day 19: Trek Lhonak to Pang Pema 5140 m (3/4 hrs)


 

In this day, have a morning breakfast and continue trek towards Pang Pema.You can enjoy majestic Himalayas Kanchenjunga view. As you reach to Pang Pema and have stunning views of the Kanchenjunga. Today we can see the main Kangchenjunga Peak. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Pang Pema.


Day 20: Trek back Pang Pema to Kambachen 4040 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and departure.Today’s trek will be back to Kambachen from Pang Pema. Around 5 to 6 hours trek will take us to Kambachen. Climb up to 200 to 300m and reach to the ridge, north of Pang Pema from where you can explore Kanchenjunga Base Camp. Enjoy great vantage point with views of Kanchenjunga, Wedge Peak, the Twins, and Tent Peak. After exploration, you can descent down and reach to the Kambachen. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the Kambachen.


Day 21: Trek Kambachen to Ghunsa 3475 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and continue trek Ghunsa, which is situated at the elevation of 3475 meters. As we begin trek from Ghunsa and make a down trek by following the pass-through Phole, a village which is divided into two parts. Enjoy witnessing the upper section houses, the village of Ghunsa. Further trek down to Yangswa, a great and warm camp. Further trek descents will offer you a magnificent view of the forest. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Ghunsa.


Day 22: Trek Ghunsa to Amjilosa 2460 m (4/5 hrs)


 

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek descend down to Phale by following the several Manes and a monastery nearby. We will trek through the Juniper forests and reach Phale. The further trek will be steady descent to Gyabla by crossing several beautiful bridges over Chhundatangka Khola and reach to Gyabla. You can enjoy witnessing beautiful waterfall during our trek. We will pass through the beautiful forest trek through the steep, grassy hillsides and finally reach to Amjilosa. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the Amjilosa.


Day 23: Trek Amjilosa to Sakathum 1600 m (4/5 hrs)


 

Have an early morning breakfast and departure the beautiful village of Amjilosa and continue trek a steep descent trail almost whole day. We will follow the trail alongside natural vegetation. After walking for a while, we see a beautiful waterfall nearby. We continue our trek and pass a small settlement of Solima before crossing a suspension bridge over GhunsaKhola. We cross another suspension bridge over GhunsaKhola and reach Sukathum. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Sakathun.


Day 24: Trek Sakathum to Chhiruwa 1200 m (4/5 hrs)


 

Have a morning breakfast and continue trek ahead back to Chhiruwa. We notice that the settlement starts to get thicker as we descend. Our trail will be alongside lush vegetation. We will pass through several villages before reaching Sinwa. From here we continue our descending trail and cross a bridge over the SisneKhola. Now we are in the Pathibhara Trek trail. It is pleasantly warm at low altitudes and cardamom grows freely in the moist shaded forest. Crossing numerous small tributary streams, we finally reach to Chhirwa, a village set among large boulders. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house of Chhiruwa.


Day 25: Trek Chhiruwa to Suketar 2420 m (5/6 hrs)


 

Have early morning breakfast and continue trek from Chhiruwa, the trail winds in and out of side canyons to the Limbu village. Continue trek following the Phurumbu and a ridge overlooking a vast landslide before reaching Jogidanda. A final 3-4 hrs climb, through the Sherpa villages of Bung Kulung and BhoteGaon, will lead us to the airstrip at Suketar. Have a dinner and stay overnight in the guest house at Suketar.


Day 26: Fly back to Kathmandu 1300 m (50-55 mins) and farewell


 

Have an early morning breakfast and take a domestic flight back to Kathmandu. Hotel check-in and take rest for a few hours in the hotel. You can stroll around Thamel Bazaar and can-do souvenir shopping in the evening. Enjoy farewell dinner for successful completion of our Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek with typical Nepali cultural program. Stay overnight in the same hotel Kathmandu. 


Day 27: Final Departure


 

After have an early morning breakfast and check out, we will head toward airport. Our representative will transfer you to airport, 3 hours before of your schedule flight. Wish you a safe flight.
