FAQ

Can you tell me when the best time is to trek to Annapurna Base Camp?
In Annapurna Base Camp, the best months to trek are the spring season from March to May autumn season from September to December.
Do you know the level of difficulty to trek to Annapurna Base Camp?
This trek isn't harder than any other trek in the Himalayas. The 7-day trek consists of a short trail that explores beautiful views. The trek's difficulty lies in the narrow path, and the short hike puts us at a high altitude.
Annapurna Base Camp: why is it so popular?
As you hike, you will explore a vast mountain range of peaks exceeding 7,000m, including Annapurna I(8091), nestled in a natural amphitheatre formed by peaks. This high glacial valley lies north of Pokhara and is home to Annapurna Base Camp. This moderately strenuous trek takes you directly below Machhapuchhare, where you can get close-up views of the entire range.

Can you climb Annapurna in a day?
The climb to Mount Annapurna usually takes 45 days. This mountain stands at 8,500 meters above sea level.
In the Annapurna region, what kind of food and accommodations are there?
Usually, fresh and hygienic food is available when trekking in the mountains. It is recommended that you take the local dish called "Dal Bhat". Dal Bhat is packed with the nutrients you need while hiking. Other than this, many types of regional cuisines are found.

There are not a lot of luxury rooms in the high mountains, so you might have to spend the night in a regular lodge, tea house, or tent.

Book a comfortable room during the peak season because all the rooms are occupied during this time, so you may have to share your space with other trekkers; therefore, you should plan before you set out on your trek.

Is it necessary to have a guide on the Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
The route is very well marked, the distance between villages is indicated in each village, and it is much cheaper to do the journey on your own. However, taking a reliable travel agency would keep you safe throughout the trekking trip.

Annapurna Base Camp: How do I get there?
There are several ways to get here, including walking and flying. The distance between Pokhara and Annapurna base camp is only roughly 37.1 kilometers at an altitude of 4130 meters. Depending on your budget, travel style, and comfort level, you can select the right mode of transportation. Walking is the best way to experience natural and cultural diversity and to explore the natural world.

Do you need any kind of travel insurance for the Annapurna Base Camp trek?
Yes, of course. Before trekking in any part of Nepal, you should make sure you're insured. When we (the trekking agency) book your trip and prepare other necessary documentation for your trek, we ask for a copy of your travel insurance. This allows you to embark on any adventure without worry.
What is the recommended amount of walking per day for the Annapurna Base Camp?
The trekking hours in high altitude will usually be 6-8 hours a day, but this can change with your fitness level, route, and the amount of time you want to spend trekking. It's much easier to walk downhill than to climb up, and it takes a lot less time.
Do we have hot shower facilities in the tea houses for the Annapurna trek?
It's true that you can take a hot shower in the mountain region, but for an additional fee. For those traveling at high altitudes, we suggest skipping showers above 4400 meters or taking fewer showers, if possible, to lessen symptoms of altitude sickness, common colds, and other illnesses.
What is the value of Annapurna Base Camp Trek?
Annapurna trekking is a worthwhile experience, no doubt about that. Thanks to NATT, most places can be accessed without going on the road. Unless you are interested in trekking in a bare-bones fashion, either of these hikes is a good option for you
Is it expensive to trek Annapurna Base Camp?
