The trekking trails to Pikey Peak commences after a picturesque drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya which continues towards Bhandar, Namkheli, and Ngaor Gumpa. While traveling from Kathmandu to Shivalaya (the abode of Lord Shiva), you will witness the beautiful scenes of the Himalayas, waterfalls, green terraced farms, and flowing rivers.

These 10 days Pikey Peak trekking journey ends back to Kathmandu via a private vehicle drive or flight from Salleri. Keep your eyes wide because the drive from Salleri to Kathmandu by jeep offers you the eye-captivating views of landscapes and the Tamakoshi River. The Pikey Peak lying in the Khumbu region is famous among nature admirers and adventurous lovers as it is home to the major Himalayan ranges of the world.

The trekking trails are decorated with the scenic landscapes, forests beautified with rhododendron flowers, high altitude flora and fauna, quaint villages, beautiful Khumbu glacier, and so on. The Best Time for Pikey Peak Trekking!

The best time for Pikey peak trekking is the months of February, March, and April which falls on the early spring season. In early spring, the weather is great to travel in the Everest region. You will see the blossom of rhododendron flowers and the green environment everywhere while exploring.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport and Hotel Transfer


A warm welcome by one of the representatives of the Himalayan Hero Adventure on behalf of the entire team at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will be then transferred to the hotel and hotel check-in. Take rest for a while! For getting familiar with you, we will organize a small informal meeting at our office where you will meet your trek guide too. your trek guide will provide detailed information regarding the trekking equipment and related things. If you have time, visit the most delightful area of the valley, Thamel. If you lack any kind of equipment, you can get it from the Thamel area which is popular for both national and international branded shopping centers. Get ready for dinner offered by our team! Taste the real taste of Nepali cuisine and enjoy the cultural performance!

Night stay at the hotel in Kathmandu. Dinner Included.

Note: If you arrive late in Nepal, then our meeting and dinner will be postponed to tomorrow.


Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing


After early morning breakfast, we will visit the major world heritage sites of Kathmandu valley with our trekking guide. Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square are the major highlights of today. These are also listed in the UNESCO World Heritage sites. After exploring around the valley, you will get back to the hotel. Check your essentials and pack your bag!

Day 3: Drive to Shivalaya (1790m) from Kathmandu


Driving Duration: 9 to 10 hours

At an early morning, we make a drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya which will take about 9 to 10 hours. While traveling to Shivalaya, enjoy the beautiful scenes of Himalayas, waterfalls, green terraced farm, and flowing rivers. Shivalaya is the abode of the Lord Shiva. Explore around the place and feel the religious environment!

Day 4: Trek to Bhandar (2200m) from Shivalaya


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After having a morning breakfast at Shivalaya, we will commence our actual walking journey from Shivalaya. Around six hours of uphill and downhill walk, you reach Bhandar. On the way, you will encounter the majestic sights of peaks, diverse topography, lush green environment, and many more.

Day 5: Trek to Namkheli (2300m) from Bhandar


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After have a morning breakfast at Bhandar, we will descend towards Namkheli.

Day 6: Trek to Ngaor Gumpa (2800m) from Namkheli


 

Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

Ngaor Gumpa offers you the warm and friendly hospitality of local people.

Day 7: Trek to Pikey Peak (4070m) from Ngaor Gumpa


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

Enjoy your morning breakfast at Ngaor Gumpa and get ready to reach your destination! Within six to seven hours of trekking, you reach Pikey Peak. Arriving at the peak, witness the breath-taking closer views of the Himalayas and astonishing natural sceneries. Walking via the route, you will come across with the Himalayan biodiversity. From Pikey Danda, give a look around and enjoy the jaw-dropping sights of world’s highest mountain, Everest including Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Manaslu, Makalu, Gauri Shankar, Numbur range. Also, enjoy the glorious sunset view from the peak!

Night stay at the tented camp. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included.


Day 8: Trek to Junbesi (2675m) and Pikey Hill Sightseeing


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

At early morning after having breakfast, we will do sightseeing around the Pikey hill. The Pikey Hill presents you the majestic sunrise view. Explore around the Pikey hill and make your moments memorable for lifetime! Then, we will trek to Junbesi which will take seven hours of walking. Junbesi is an extraordinary village where you experience the warm hospitality and kind service of the local people.

Day 9: Rest Day at Junbesi


 

Enjoy your morning breakfast at Junbesi and make a short and meaningful visit to the local museums, gompas, and monasteries. Also, visit the Thubten Chulling Gompa. You will be amazed while visiting around the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery, it is a huge and impressive monastery. At the end of the day, enjoy the successful trek while having delicious local food.

Day 10: Trek to Salleri (1790m) from Junbesi


 

Trekking Duration: 4 to 5 hours

The last day to trek! After having a morning breakfast at Junbesi, we will begin our walk towards Salleri. Around five hours of trekking in the Himalayan land, we reach Salleri. Have a fun and enjoy every bit of nature and trekking moments!

Night stay at the teahouse. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included.


Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu (1310m) from Salleri


Flying Duration: 40 minutes

Driving Duration: 8 to 9 hours

Enjoy your breakfast at Salleri; the headquarter of Solukhumbu. Here, you can make a choice of the way of traveling; either by jeep or plane. Traveling through the jeep offers you the eye-captivating views of landscapes and Tamakoshi river.

Night stay at the hotel. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Included.


Day 12: Final Departure


 

The last day at Nepal for this trek. After having breakfast and hotel check-out, one of our representatives will drop you to the Kathmandu International airport before three hours of your flight time. From our entire Himalayan Hero Adventure team, wish you a safe journey ahead!
