It is best to trek in the Annapurna Region during autumn (September to November) and spring (March to May).
For the Annapurna Circuit Trek, it is mandatory to obtain a permit. Nepal Tourism Board provides two kinds of permits, either in Kathmandu or Pokhara. Trekking agencies make arrangements on your behalf if you go through them.
Certainly not. On the trek itinerary, oxygen is not generally required because it is designed so that the trekkers can acclimatize well. The trek in the Annapurna region entails descent to a lower altitude immediately should someone suffer from severe altitude sickness.
The Annapurna Circuit Trek length requires a significant amount of physical fitness so that you can walk for five to seven hours each day. If a beginner trains at least three months before the trek, they can participate in this trek. Preparing your body for a successful expedition in the Himalayas includes jogging, cycling, swimming, acrobatics, hiking, and swimming.
The steep climbs during the Annapurna Circuit trek, long distances, limited amenities, and the altitude make this trek hard. As a result of heavy snow accumulation on the trails, the route usually remains closed during the winter season.
We cannot overlook the risks of altitude sickness when evaluating the difficulty level of trekking routes in Nepal, especially during the Annapurna Circuit trek. Walking for several hours at sea level or slightly higher isn't too difficult for most people, but those hours are incredibly tiring when you begin climbing over 4,000m (13,123ft). A section of this route passes through almost the entirety of the Annapurna massif.
It has a longer duration and more challenging terrain than the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
Multiple river crossings are provided via suspension bridges, ranging from moderately complex to difficult.
The Annapurna Circuit trek takes over roughly 15–20 days to complete the Annapurna Base Circuit Trek, departing from Kathmandu and stopping in Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu.
During the Annapurna circuit trek, you will require the following itinerary:
Mountaineering gear and clothing for the Annapurna Circuit
o Four pairs of t-shirts (quick drying) and 2 pairs with long sleeves.
o An extra fleece sweater/ jacket.
o 6 boxers + 2 bras.
o A waterproof windbreaker jacket.
o Thermal wears
o Water bottle
o Quick snack bars
o Basic medicines
An average cost of US$1000 to $1400 (excluding international flights) can be expected for a trek of 12-15 days. However we are provinding the Annapurna Circuit trek for $950. These fees cover domestic transportation, trek permits, lodging, and meals. Nevertheless, one must arrange for insurance, visas, and personal gear separately.
Sleeping bags will be necessary for temperatures below freezing (-6 to -10 degrees Celsius) for winter.
As a result of the high altitude, there is the possibility of getting altitude sickness. A person's response to altitude depends on their fitness and experience, regardless of how they react to altitude. For this reason, you will want to know what altitude sickness is and its symptoms beforehand. Before leaving for the trek, speak to a doctor about high altitude sickness.
Due to the rocky terrain, Wi-Fi might not be available everywhere or for very long periods. Wi-Fi is generally known for free or at minimal cost in most guesthouses. Avoid relying on the internet during your trip and enjoy it instead.
