Itinerary

Day 1: 1. Fly to Paro and transfer to Thimpu


After you arrive in   paro you will be welcomed by your Bhutanese guide and transferred to Thimphu. You will be visiting places in Thimphu which includes the visit of Late King's Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, Drubthob Nunnery , the handmade paper factory, the school of arts,  where young students learn the traditional arts and crafts. There are Gold and the Silver Smiths workshop and the Handicraft Emporium and the local handicraft centers to see the weavers at work and also varieties of textiles, thangka paintings, masks, jewelry etc.You will have a tour of the king’s administrative building known as Tashicho Dzong and staying and you will spend Overnight at Hotel. 

Day 2: Thimphu – Excursion to famous Cheri Gompa


After having your breakfast, we will take you towards the northern end of the valley for about 20 minutes to get started for an exciting walk to a monastery named CHERI GOMPA.Visiting Cheri gompa is a pleasant rural drive. Cheri Dorji Dhen was first built in 1620 by Shabdrung, who was the first ruler of Bhutan who also established the first order of monks here. We enter Cheri courtyard and also may be allowed to visit the shrines inside. You will go down the hill, where your transport arrives to take you back to Thimphu. In the late afternoon/evening time we will drive you to the site of Colorful Weekend Market where people come to sell and buy their stuffs. It is a perfect place to get experience with Bhutanese lifestyle, tradition, and culture. 

Day 3: Driving to Paro and sightseeing


 In the morning you will have a scenic drive of 1 hr to one of the well-known tourist destination in Paro valley.Before going to Paro you will be taken a diversion to the Chele La pass which is located at an altitude of Thimpu. 3900m/1300ft. This is the best view where you will find one side  Paro and on the other side  Haa valley. You can have short leg straitening walk on the pass when the temperature is cool. You will see the Bhutanese Himalayas from the pass including the highest peak in Bhutan  Gangar Puensum 7546 m and also  Jumolhari Peak 7314 m.When we  are going back to Paro, we will stop at a place for the hike to the very famous and holy  monastery- Dzondrakha .  You will have a walk along the agricultural field and an uphill climb and when both versions of hikes are summed up it will take less than 1 hour to reach the top where the monastery stands. After reaching monastery you will be guided to the main temple.You will spend your night at the Hotel.

Day 4: Taktshang Hike


 In the morning you will drive to Ramthangkha. It is the Terminating Point of the Motorable Road and hike to the Tiger’s nest.  To the halfway is the most highlighted Buddhist temple in the entire Himalayas. Afternoon Visit Kyichu lhakhang, you will Visit Ta Dzong National Museum and Paro Ringpung Dzong which was Built in the 17th Century to defend the valley against the Tibetan invaders. You will spend your night at a Hotel. 

Day 5: Departure


 After having your breakfast at the hotel. You will go to the airport in Paro for departure flight 2 hours before your actual flight.
