The trekking trails to the Dolpo Jumla trek begins after the flight from Kathmandu to Juphal via Nepalgunj. Your actual walking journey starts from Juphal to Tarakot to Lahini to Nature Odar to Dho to Namala Phedi to Bagala Phedi via Namala Pass (4,100m) to Roman via Bagala Pass (5,090m) to Ringmo to Pungmo to Lasa to via Kagmara La Pass (5,115m) to Kagmara Phedi to Toijem to Kai Guan to Chaui Goth to Chatra via Mauri Lagna Pass (3,820m) to Gothi Chaur to Jumla and finally, back to Kathmandu via Nepalgunj. Several traditional villages will pass throughout your journey. The accommodation in many places will in our own tents due to less development of those areas.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and Transfer to the Hotel


Welcome to the land of majestic Himalayas, diverse geography, and unique cultures! As you land on the Tribhuvan (Kathmandu) International airport, you will be greeted by one of the representatives of Himalaya Hero Adventure. Then, you will be transferred to the hotel by our private vehicle and hotel check-in. Take rest! According to your arrival time, we will conduct introductory meeting and trek orientation today or tomorrow. The meeting will discuss about the trekking challenges and introduce you with our team members including trekking guide. In the evening, enjoy welcome dinner with the team and taste the Nepali cuisine!

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour and Trek Preparation


After having morning breakfast, our tour guide will take you to some of the historical and religious sites of the Kathmandu valley. We will explore Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Exploring these UNESCO World Heritage sites, you will witness the ancient architecture and arts of Nepal. Many Hindu and Buddhist followers visit Nepal to explore such religious places which are popular world widely. Returning from one-day short trip, we will conduct a meeting regarding trekking preparation. Your trekking guide will check your trekking essentials, and if you lack any then you can buy those from Thamel area. The place is renowned for trekking equipment including national and international branded things. You can ask for any kind of help if you need!

Day 3: Fly to Nepalgunj (150m) from Kathmandu


Traveling Duration: 1 hour

In early morning, we will leave the hotel for flight to Nepalgunj. After hotel checkout and breakfast, we will move to Kathmandu Domestic airport and fly to Nepalgunj which lies in Terai region. Reaching Nepalgunj and taking some rest in lodge, we will explore the place. The plain land is famous for agriculture and have many religious and historical sites.

Day 4: Fly to Juphal (2,250m) and Trek to Dunai (2,150m)


Traveling Duration: 3 to 4 hours

After having breakfast, we will take another early morning flight to Juphal which will take about 45 minutes. Juphal lying in the high Himalayas offers you the splendid views of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Dhaulagiri. After having lunch and taking rest for some time in Juphal, we will move towards Dunai. Walking for 3 and half hours from Juphal in a Himalayan and remote terrains of Nepal, we reach the campsite of Dunai. Explore the place!

Day 5: Trek to Tarakot (3,200m) from Dunai


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After having breakfast, we leave the campsite and trek towards the Tarakot village. Today, you will pass the outstanding forest beautified with rhododendron flowers and pine trees, rivers, and multi-colored terraced fields. Reaching Tarakot village which is an old fortification town identified as Dzong, explore the place and interact with locals!

Day 6: Trek to Lahini (3,200m) from Tarakot


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After having breakfast, we will descend towards the trail to reach Lahini via Gyangmar. Within six to seven hours of walking through the traditional settlements and terraced land, we reach Lahini. Enjoy the views of Himalayas and surroundings after reaching Lahini.

Day 7: Trek to Nature Odar (3,100m) from Lahini


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

Nature Odar which is situated at an elevation of 3,100 meters is a lively place. After having breakfast, we will trek to downhill from Lahini. Walking in a downhill trail for five to six hours, we reach Nature Odar.

Day 8: Trek to Dho (4,000m) from Nature Odar


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After having early morning breakfast, we will continue our trekking journey from Nature Odar to Dho which lies at an elevation over 4,000 meters. On the way, you will pass remotest and traditional settlements of different ethnic communities of Nepal. Witness the beauty of unexploited and naturally pure land of Nepal!

Day 9: Rest Day at Dho


Today is your first day for acclimatizing with higher altitude. During the acclimatization period, we will hike up to some of the nearby higher elevation visit to the old monastery of this place. Visiting the monastery and hiking up to higher elevation offer you the wonderful vista of surroundings and Himalayas. Returning from such activities, interact with local people and observe the day-to-day lifestyle of locals.

Day 10: Trek to Namala Phedi (4,870m) from Dho


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After having morning breakfast, we will head to Namala Phedi which lies at an elevation of 4,870 meters. Trekking through the trail, you will witness the majestic vies of many Himalayan ranges. Passing through the small yet, attractive settlement in this Himalayan region, you reach Namala Phedi. Within six to seven hours of walking, you enter into a beautiful place. Explore and enjoy the scene of nature!

Day 11: Trek to Bagala Phedi (3,900m) via Namala Pass (4,100m)


 

Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

Today, you will trek via Namala Pass which lies at an elevation of 4,100 meters. After having breakfast, we will trek towards downhill trek to Bagala Phedi. While passing the Namala Pass, you might experience altitude sickness so, stay with the trekking crew and remain hydrated. You will also encounter endangered Himalayan floras and faunas!

Day 12: Trek to Roman (3,800m) via Bagala Pass (5,090m)


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After taking morning breakfast, we will trek towards the higher elevation. Today, you will pass Bagala Pass which lies at an elevation of 5,090 meters. Passing through such higher altitude, be careful with altitude sickness problem. We recommend you to stay hydrated during trekking period. On the way, you will witness the stunning views of ice giants and pasturelands. You will walk through the dense forest and religious sites to reach Roman. Take rest properly!

Day 13: Trek to Ringmo (3,510m) from Roman


 

Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After having breakfast in the camp, we will commence our trekking journey towards Ringmo. While walking through the trail, you will witness the distant views of Phokshundo lake and impressive lofty waterfall. Within 5 to 6 hours of trekking, we reach Ringmo which lies at an elevation of 3,510 meters.

Day 14: Rest Day at Ringmo


Today, we will take rest at Ringmo which is essential. During resting period, we will explore the nearby villages, lakes, and local monasteries. Visiting an ancient monastery named Bonba monastery, meditate in a peaceful environment with wonderful natural sights! Enjoy short hiking trip in the hidden and less crowded Himalayan land!

Day 15: Trek to Pungmo (3,500m) from Ringmo


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

Trekking through the trail from Ringmo to Pungmo, you will come across with lots of beautiful things. Walking for six to seven hours over 3,000 meters of elevation, you reach Pungmo. Explore the place!

Day 16: Trek to Lasa (4,100m) from Pungmo


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

After having breakfast, we will trek towards Lasa which lies at an elevation of 4,100 meters. Within 5 to 6 hours of trekking, we reach Lasa. Explore the place and interact with the local people!

Day 17: Trek to Kagmara Phedi (4,000m) via Kagmara La Pass (5,115m)


Trekking Duration: 7 to 8 hours

Today, you will pass Kagmara La Pass which lies at an elevation of 5,115 meters. You might feel altitude sickness symptoms while trekking via Kagmara La Pass. Within 7 to 8 hours of walking, you reach the campsite of Kagmara Phedi which lies at an elevation of 4,000 meters. Roam around the place!

Day 18: Trek to Toijem (2,920m) from Lasa


Trekking Duration: 6 to 7 hours

After having breakfast, we will leave Kagmara Phedi to descend towards Toijem village which is situated at an elevation of 2,920 meters. We recommend you to walk slowly and carefully through the downhill trail. It will take 6 to 7 hours of walk to reach the village. Reaching village, take full rest and explore around the village!

Day 19: Trek to Kai Guan (2,650m) from Toijem


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

Leaving Toijem, we will move forward to Kai Guan which is situated at an elevation of 2,650 meters. Walking through the remotest and rugged terrains of Himalaya for 5 to 6 hours, we reach Kai Guan.

Day 20: Trek to Chaui Goth (3,060m) from Kai Guan


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

Today, you will enjoy the view of Irrigation site and pastureland while trekking to Chaui Goth. Within 5 to 6 hours of walking, we reach Chaui Goth.

Day 21: Trek to Chatra (3,380m) via Mauri Lagna Pass (3,820m)


Trekking Duration: 7 to 8 hours

After having breakfast, we will ascend from Chaui Goth towards Chatra via Mauri Lagna Pass. The pass lies at an elevation of 3,820 meters. Within 7 to 8 hours of walking via the high pass, you reach Chatra.

Day 22: Trek to Gothi Chaur (2,650m) from Chatra


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

From now, we will walk towards the downhill trail. After taking breakfast, we will move towards Gothi Chaur. The village lies at an elevation of 2,650 meters. Walking for 5 to 6 hours, we reach this traditional and remote village of Nepal. Take full rest or stroll around the settlement area!

Day 23: Trek to Jumla (2,300m) from Gothi Chaur


Trekking Duration: 5 to 6 hours

Today, we walk through the dense Alpine forests and grazing land. Leaving Gothi Chaur and moving forward to Jumla offers beautiful and mesmerizing views of Himalayas and surroundings. You have to walk for 5 to 6 hours to reach Jumla.

Day 24: Fly to Nepalgunj and Fly to Kathmandu


The last day of your walking journey in the Himalayas! In an early morning after having breakfast, we will visit to some of the religious and shopping sites and then, we will take flight to Nepalgunj. Arriving at Nepalgunj and having lunch, we will take another flight to Kathmandu. Re-witness the natural scenario of landscapes, forested areas, and Himalayas while flying above. Arriving at the Kathmandu Domestic Airport, you will be transferred to the respective hotel by our private vehicle and hotel check-in. If you wish, you can go for shopping and buy gifts for your loved ones or family members! enjoy farewell dinner with the team at night for successful completion of 25 long days trek to the remotest land of Nepal!

Day 25: Final Departure


 

After breakfast and before three hours of your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the Kathmandu International Airport by our private vehicle. Have a safe flight ahead from our entire team!
